This would be more appropriately called "focused tissue massage." It is slow, focused work, targeting specific muscle groups that may be contributing to discomfort. This can be brought into your massage treatment as needed. It allows the practitioner to reach the deeper layers of musculature, slowly working into the deep layers of muscle tissue. This is a wonderfully soothing and relaxing form of massage. Traditional massage techniques are used along while the practitioner cradles smooth, hot basalt lava stones in her palms. The stones may also be placed on specific points along your spine, in the palms of your hands, and under your feet. The heat helps your tight muscles to completely unwind and release. $70/hour - $100/90 min.

Reflexology is pressure point work to the feet and hands. During a foot reflexology session, the practitioner works her thumbs into all the tiny points all over the feet that connect to the organs, glands, muscles, etc. throughout your whole body.  There are many nerve endings and lactic acid deposits in the feet and it is believed that working those spots results in over-all health and relaxation. Polarity therapy is based on the human energy field. Reiki is a system of Natural Healing and is thousands of years old. It is a Japanese form of stress reduction and relaxation with many benefits. During the treatment the Reiki practitioner follows a sequence of hand positions, generally starting at the client’s head and ending at the feet. The practitioner may also use certain Reiki symbols to amplify the energy, or to achieve specific effects.
